Heather Moreau is the owner of Vallentyne Photography and has been photographing weddings and families in San Diego for 10 years.

I began my photography career in 2001 at a small magazine, learning technique and style from photographers I admired. Soon I moved into the commercial world shooting advertising and catalogs, and learning the technical aspects of studio photography. Photography in the surf industry exposed me to a raw and vibrant style of art and photography that still shapes the way I shoot today. Photography in the studio taught me how to understand and control light.Once I found the freedom and creativity in wedding and family photography I knew it was the direction I wanted my art to take.

I have always believed that anything is possible with enough hard work and dedication. I think I have gotten extremely lucky in life by finding a career I truly love to do. Photography has been a passion and inspiration for me for as long as I can remember. I have been shooting weddings long enough to know how to be in the right place at the right time, while remaining unobtrusive. My collections of images are beautiful, strong, and consistant. They are also well rounded in that I seemlessly blend important style elements such as photojournalism, family portraiture, and still life details. You can count on the fact that your images will be well loved for years to come, and that we won’t have missed a moment.
